Session Description: This presentation is for those wishing to explore the possibilities of using e-portfolios in their teaching, course design or personal development. In the portfolio process, the collection of artifacts is a powerful exercise in personal reflection. This is a case study of artifact collection and the challenges particular to e-portfolios – how artifacts are collected, digitized, examined and expressed.

Presenter: Patrick O’Brien

Presenter Bio: Patrick O’Brien, former faculty member and now Education Technologist at the University of the Fraser Valley, holds an MSc in Instructional Technology from Bosie State University and a post graduate certificate in Technology Based Distributed Learning from UBC. Patrick has presented for CADE and ICDE across Canada and internationally. He is a Member Emeritus of ETUG. Currently Patrick is researching e-portfolios and facilitating a portfolio development workshop through the auspices of the PLAR Centre, Halifax.
