Session Description: This Media Magic workshop will provide you with some simple tricks for creating web-ready media and web pages that can be used in CMS such as Blackboard CE. Specifically you will be able to:

  • Using Dreamweaver, add an image to a web page and edit the image to prepare it for use on the Web.
  • Using Audacity, record an audio file and add it to a web page.
  • Create a movie of images and sound using Photostory 3 for Windows.
  • Add web friendly movie files to your web pages.

Presenter Bio: Jacqueline Bradshaw is an Educational Technology Advisor and Instructor in the Library & Information Technology Program at Langara College. She has been a member of ETUG since it began, and was on the Steering Committee for fifteen years. Jacqueline has been working with technology in education for most of her career, and is always looking for the easiest way to do things. Being a librarian, her learning style tends towards read/write, but she truly appreciates a well-placed picture, audio or video clip.
